The article presents the technology of overhauling a steam turbine body after prolonged operation at high temperatures. Before any repairs are made to such a body, preliminary material tests must be carried out, which will qualify it for scrapping or
a revitalisation process, because the material undergoes degradation at creep temperatures. The purpose of the overhaul was to restore the steam turbine body (material grade L20HM) to operational condition.
